If your recycling, rubbish, food waste or garden waste hasn't been collected on your collection day and you have followed instructions for collection, please let us know within 48 hours of your expected collection, and we will make another collection within two working days.
Before making your report please check the following:
- Was your bin put out before 7am on your collection day?
If your bin was not put out on time you will need to make alternative arrangements such as taking your rubbish to the Stafferton Way Household and Recycling Centre, or put it out for collection the following week.
- Has a tag been placed on your bin?
Your bin may contain something that shouldn’t be in it like textiles, small electricals, bulky waste or other prohibited items that are classed as contamination.
- Is there a change to your scheduled collection day?
During bank holidays collections may change. Collections are also subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather and major events.
Visit our Find your collection day page to check if there has been a change to your scheduled collection.
- Was there clear access to your bins or property?
Collections can only be made if there is clear access to the road and bin stores. This includes clear access for the vehicle to manoeuvre around bends or along narrow roads, and no excess waste placed around bins, causing an obstruction. Please ensure that your vehicles are parked considerately to allow collection vehicles clear access.
Report a missed collection
You can report your missed collection from the day after your scheduled collection date, and no later than two working days after the scheduled collection.
